Aspiring Photographer – Take 2

Yeah, I am loving taking pictures these days! There is still so much that I don’t know, but that is all part of the fun ya’ll 🙂

For example, where should I be saving my photos after taking and reviewing them? I honestly just deleted a few that I wasn’t feeling and uploaded all the others here on my blog space. As for the ‘others’? This is only a fraction of them 🙂

This Friday I went scouting for locations for a possible group photography outing with a few other women in my city. And I found a few jogging spots as well as a couple parks that are nice during the day. Now with the help of plenty of YouTube videos and a few articles online, I’m gaining my style of how I want to take pictures.

Speaking of style, here is what I am most looking forward to explore in the future:

I. Love. Shooting. In. Neon. Lights!

Maybe it’s just the vibe that I get while (trying) to sing karaoke, but I have a feeling that I’m going to flove shooting in more dark areas with neon lights. So hopefully I can find a few model volunteers that would be down for trying these type of shoots out soon.

The last few photos that I’ll share today are my attempt at getting something ‘abstracty’.

Really I just liked the duality of the combining elements and wanted to capture it while I had good daylight 🙂

Over the next few weeks I will see about showing some more shots with real folks for you all. I’m so excited for those! Until then, comments, suggestions, and/or positive critique is more than welcome. Let’s see what I can shoot next Musings!

Be inspired and stay inspiring!

Seeing one 'acceptable' troupe for fat black women like me was more than enough to entice me to step up and take a shot! ______________________________________________________________________________________________ After spending hours on stock pile sites and not finding the images of women that she wanted to see on her blog or book covers led K. McCoy to make more of her photography hobby. Besides shooting portraits, street and travel photography, K. McCoy would love to tap more into her creative skills and collaborate with cosplay artists as well as authors looking for their dream book covers.
