Day 17: I Know What I Want

There is a new bar spot downtown that I keep thinking about.

And how I want to make it a staple for my alter ego in the worst way!

*At least over the next year – while I am still in town :-)*

The name of the bar is ‘The Studio’. I went there after the last Music Walks with some friends and fell hard for this place. Inside is a small bar with local brewery, old school R&B playing thanks to Pandora, and there is local art shown throughout the place.

The ‘ohmygawd’ moment was the main chill area – it’s set up as…a studio 🙂

There’s even a sound booth with the ‘On Air’ sign above it. In front of that is a plug and play stage with set lights (that I could not keep myself away from-lol). I FLOVE IT!

I would love to take that stage!

My alter ego wants to take that stage!

Just the overall vibe of this place was calling to me while I was there, and the next time I do visit I am going to pitch ‘Soul Session Sundays with Soprano Musings’ to manager.

At the very least, I’ll get a good buzz and some inside pics to share with ya’ll later 🙂

Is there a place that ‘speaks’ to you, or call your creativity forth?

Let’s talk about it in the comments below!

Seeing one 'acceptable' troupe for fat black women like me was more than enough to entice me to step up and take a shot! ______________________________________________________________________________________________ After spending hours on stock pile sites and not finding the images of women that she wanted to see on her blog or book covers led K.
